2015 is stacking up to be a great year for Nintendo

The big "N" finished off 2014 with a bang, releasing their highly anticipated Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. While we still have not seen official numbers, this surely could only have a positive effect on console sales.  Here's what we're looking forward to in 2015.

1. Zelda! Zelda! Zelda!

"Holy shit, there's a new a Legend Of Zelda game" was the first thing I said in my head watching Nintendo's E3 digital event and along with the gameplay video shown at the 2014 Video Game Awards, this makes the list for the most anticipated Nintendo release of 2015. For 3DS users, another remake from the N64 era, "The Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask" is slated for release in the Spring of 2015. It's a great year to be a Legend Of Zelda fan.

2. The shooter we've all been waiting for: Splatoon?

While it wasn't the shooter we all expected (See Metroid Prime), it was a breath of fresh air to see a brand new IP added to the Nintendo roster. While all the details are yet to be revealed we do know this game will feature a multiplayer and single player campaign. These ink shooting squid people will come to the Wii U console in the Spring of 2015.

3. Abe Lincoln on my 3DS

From the makers of Fire Emblem and Advance Wars, Intelligent Systems brings us the steam punk inspired "Code Name: S.T.E.A.M." for Nintendo 3DS and 2DS. While I thought the time I dosed in and out of consciousness watching a mannequin Abe Lincoln sing "Glory Glory Hallelujah" would be the closest I'd come to seeing our 16th president in real life, this 3DS exclusive will hopefully make me see what Honest Abe is all about.

4. Making Mario

Your childhood fantasy is finally coming true in 2015. Since receiving my NES in 1989 and freaking out, I always wanted to make my own video game. While not knowing how to code, design, or create a chiptune has held me back all these years, I finally get my chance to show to show the world my creativity with Mario Maker.
